Network YOU Training & Internship Program for Egyptian Youth

The Network YOU initiative—“Creation of a Skills Network to Increase Employment Opportunities for Young Egyptians in the Green Job Sector”—is co-funded by the European Union and implemented by ICMPD via CIHEAM Bari. It offers 75 Egyptian fresh graduates and technicians a structured training and internship pathway bridging Egypt and Italy, focused on green and digital transition sectors.

Program Details

Training in Egypt (Phase 1)

  • Duration: Approx. 3 months (Oct/Nov 2025 – Jan 2026)
  • Focus Areas: Sustainable and precision agriculture, digital agri-food systems, renewable energy, food processing, natural resource management, plus soft skills (leadership, communication, career development), Italian language, and entrepreneurship preparation.

Internship in Italy (Phase 2)

  • Eligibility: Top 50 participants selected post-training
  • Duration: 3-month practical internship in Puglia, Italy, in sectors like precision agriculture, sustainable food processing, agri-digital solutions, and environmental management.
  • Benefits: Fully covered travel, accommodation, health insurance, and mentorship from both educational and company tutors.

Who Can Apply?

  • Nationality: Egyptian
  • Age Range: 20–35 years
  • Education: University graduate or technician in fields such as Agronomy, Environmental Engineering, ICT, Food Processing, Renewable Energy, or relevant areas
  • Profiles Sought:
    • Fresh graduates (20–30 years) in digital/ICT or agri-food innovation with technical or programming experience (e.g., Python, GIS tools)
    • Technicians (20–35 years) with background in agriculture, environment, or food science—especially from underserved areas—interested in sustainable production, circular economy, traceability, and process automation
  • Commitment to green & digital transitions, strong soft skills, and motivation for personal and professional development

Selection Process

  • Application Open: August 8 to September 15, 2025
  • Steps:
    1. Submit online application (Gmail account required)
    2. Provide CV, motivational letter, ID/passport, English language certificate (min CEFR B2), degree certificate, and signed privacy notice—all in English
    3. Initial review by joint Egyptian-Italian committee
    4. Online interview for shortlisted candidates
    5. Final selection: top 50 proceed to the internship in Italy; the remaining 25 receive participation certificates
