UNDP Human Resources (HR)Intern Associate at New York, United States
The UNDP Human Resources (HR) Intern Associate in the Bureau for Management Services is dedicated to enhancing effectiveness. The Central Recruitment Unit (CRU) is responsible for the provision of efficient and effective recruitment services for UNDP Headquarters.
Scope of Work for Human Resources (HR) Intern Associate
Post vacancy announcements.
Screen and longlist applicants against eligibility criteria;
Organize and evaluate candidate applications; administer written tests, video interviews and other forms of assessments.
Manage the verification of academic credentials, employment history and references as applicable;
Coordinate and organize interviews, facilitate the interview process, takes notes and produce interview reports as needed.
The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.
Institutional Arrangement
The NPSA shall report to the Head of the Central Recruitment in OHR
Prior experience and knowledge of Human Resources Management particularly in recruitment and selection.
Desired skills in addition to the competencies covered in the Competencies section
Demonstrated experience of ability to think creatively and work both independently and collaboratively in a production-oriented, collegial environment.
Proven experience of ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working in the UN or similar organization will be an asset.
Experience in handling of web based management systems and ERP systems
Education:
Secondary Education is required or
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Administration, HR, or related fields will be given due consideration, but it is not a requirement.
Experience: Minimum seven (7) years with Secondary Education or four (4) years with Bachelor’s Degree of relevant experience in HR, e-recruitment and related areas is required.
Candidates must meet one of the following conditions to be eligible for the post:
Staff members currently serving in the United States holding a valid G4 visa on account of their employment in the US (excluding detail assignments) under a Fixed Term Appointment/Continuing Appointment/Permanent Appointment in the UN system;
Holder of a G4 visa that is a derivative of a G4 visa held by a staff member that is currently serving on a G4 visa on account of their employment under a FTA/CA/PA in the UN system;
