IEP Madagascar will organize a MUN event within the framework of the Modeling of the United Nations, each local and/or international University Establishment will present itself with two groups of three students, each representing a member country.

The purpose of the MUN is to strengthen students’ negotiation skills, particularly in the field of international relations. This implies the enrichment of knowledge of the basics of diplomacy and communication.

Theme

Fight against hunger: Food security

The choice of the theme “Zero Hunger” for this edition, falls within the framework of reality and the major global “Main Stream” issues of the last century. IEP Madagascar is illustrated in this first edition of this organization of national, regional, even international conferences.

MUN Objectives

• Establish the effectiveness and practice of the Modeling of the United Nations in Madagascar at the level of Universities and Institutes in Madagascar
• Also, improve fraternity and cohesion among university youth in Madagascar and abroad
• Contribute to the personal development of each student
• Introducing students to global citizenship
• Moreover, apply the theories in a more real context

MUN Feasibility:

The MUN will be:

1. Online: participants will connect via the IT platform adopted by IEP
2. Face-to-face: participants will be grouped together for 2 days in a large room equipped with the tools as well as means necessary for the successful completion of the MUN.
