The Canadian Commission for UNESCO (CCUNESCO) believes that young people are key partners. Their experience and expertise enrich reflection and discussion and also help develop tangible and innovative initiatives. Their concerns and worldviews are important and help shape tomorrow’s world.
The Youth Advisory Group (YAG) is a model of youth engagement at the heart of CCUNESCO’s activities. Its 24 dedicated and creative members, representing every region in Canada, actively participate in our initiatives and help:
YAG members are actively involved in various events, including CCUNESCO’s Annual General Meeting and UNESCO’s Youth Forum. They help plan initiatives and develop strategies. By including young people, CCUNESCO benefits from their innovative ideas and expertise in developing initiatives and implementing priorities.
