Fully Funded Workshops 2018 in British Council, Brazil has opened the application. The British Council Researcher Links programme provides opportunities for UK and international early career researchers to interact, learn from each other and explore opportunities for building long-lasting research collaborations. Under this programme, the British Council and FAPESC will be holding a workshop on the above theme. The 4 day event will be held at Empresa de Pesquisa Agropecuária e Extensão Rural de Santa Catarina (Epagri), Brazil, from 4th to 7th February 2019.
Sessions will include contributions from other leading researchers from both countries, with combined expertise in the fields of epidemiology, water quality, hydrology, hydrodynamics and mathematical modeling, thus providing a unique opportunity for knowledge exchange and networking across disciplines.
The use of modeling techniques to study the fate of fecal pollution in bathing and shellfish harvesting areas will be examined, from simple regression-based models to more complex hydrological and hydrodynamic process-based models. Sharing of expertise will be encouraged between UK and Brazilian delegates working in public health protection and the development of sustainable aquaculture.
