University of Sydney Graduate Workshop 2020 in China. The University of Sydney China Studies Center calls candidates to take part in their second graduate workshop under our multidisciplinary research agenda China in the Urban Age. The main focus of the workshop will be the Health, Food and Waste in the Chinese City as well as the practical, Utopian and systemic solutions, seeking to include contributions from any branch of the sciences, humanities and social sciences.
The Graduate Workshop is going to held at the University of Sydney Center in China (Suzhou, China). The program will run for seven days starting from 3 to 9 August, 2020. The program includes the lectures and seminars with leading experts and a series of discussion fora. Basically, the assembly will discuss with about the related topic with an aim to expand the conversation through knowledge sharing around these important challenges.
This workshop is open to current graduate research students and early-career researchers (up to five years post-PhD). But however, candidates must have a broad interest in questions of health, food and waste, sustainability and technology, and whose research relates to China.
The University of Sydney believes in a multidisciplinary approach to these issues. Therefore, the university encourages applications from all fields, including the material and environmental sciences. politics, history, the arts and cultural studies, architecture, literature and the critical combination of such fields (e.g. environmental humanities).
This Graduate Workshop 2020 in China is the fully funded program so candidates need to pay no any fee to participate in this program. The University of Sydney manages all the expenses including food, accommodation as well as airfare of the successful candidates.
