Volunteering Opportunity In Ghana

Volunteering has been the backbone of the services that Becky’s Foundation renders in Ghana. Whether you are an individual or a group, being students, professionals, missionaries, or seniors, you can join hands with us and use your time and talent to help children and communities in need. Several volunteers have made important contributions and have had life-changing experiences working with us on different projects. Many of them are proud to call our base their second home and, for that matter, have returned to our projects on many occasions. You too could have a role to play in one or more of our ongoing projects.

You may choose to participate in Orphanage Home Work , Healthcare / Medical , Teaching , Sports For Social Change , or Special Needs

General volunteering requirements

• Able to commit at least 2 weeks
• At least 18 years old on the day you start volunteering. Under-aged people either need adult accompaniment or must provide us with a letter of parental consent
• Open-minded, willing to learn and adjust to fit into different cultures and work in a less resourceful environment
• Clean background check, less than 1 year old

Medical volunteering requirements

In addition to the general requirements, medical volunteers must meet the following additional requirements:

• A copy of a medical degree, or transcripts, or license
• Medical resume

There is NO Registration Fee; 100% of the Program Fee goes to support your stay and the project/s.

Program Participation fees

Becky’s Foundation loves its volunteers and appreciates all the selfless work they do supporting its activities. The organization just can’t wait till the day when it is able to absorb all the cost involved in hosting volunteers. For now, all participating volunteers are required to contribute a reasonable amount of money to help cover the cost of things, such as:

• Comprehensive pre-departure and in-country support
• Transportation: Pick-up from Accra  (Kotoka International Airport), transport to the project area, Senya-Beraku
• Detailed orientation
• Authentic local meals x3 daily
• Purified drinking water
• Clean accommodation with utilities included
• Some contribution into the project
• Certificate upon completion of program
• Reference letter upon request
• Debriefing/send-off gathering
• Transportation: Transport from Senya and drop off in Accra (Kotoka International Airport)

Application Process

After you have researched Becky’s Foundation on Google, have talked to our previous or current volunteers on Facebook for impartial reviews or asked us any questions you may have, then:

Stage 1

• Fill out the Online Application Form and receive confirmation of the submission of your application.
• We will review your application and let you know your proposed placement’s availability within 48 hours.
• If accepted, you are required at this stage to confirm your spot/participation by paying a deposit of US $75 as part of your program fee, and receive an email conformation of the receipt of your payment.

Stage 2

• We will then provide you with a verification letter, a comprehensive pre-departure Information booklet, and support by promptly answering to any questions or concerns you may have, preparing you for your welcoming.
• Pay the remaining of the program fee online pre-departure or during your orientation in Ghana.
