2017 Laureate Global Fellowship

The Laureate Global Fellowship is a pioneering youth social entrepreneurship program working to redefine how young people lead change.

Each year, YouthActionNet selects 20 young social entrepreneurs to participate in the Laureate Global Fellowship through a unique partnership between Laureate International Universities and the International Youth Foundation. Laureate Global Fellows are distinguished by their track records for success in achieving positive change in their communities, by their innovative approaches, and their ability to mobilize their peers and community members in support of their social change visions.

Launched in 2001, the fellowship invests annually in twenty extraordinary young leaders whose social ventures are transforming how age-old challenges are addressed in their communities and countries. Fellowship applicants earn their spot in this renowned cohort through a rigorous selection process including evaluation by a panel of peer leaders and executives from distinguished global institutions.

 Eligibility

Applicants must be:

• 18 – 29 years old as of October 1, 2017
• Founders or co-founders of existing ventures with at least one year of impact*
• Fluent in English (applications must be completed in English)

*Applicants must be founder or co-founder of a venture that has not previously participated in the Laureate Global Fellowship, and only one co-founder per venture may apply.

Key Dates

• Application opens on February 6, 2017
• Applications must be submitted by March 6, 2017
• All applicants will be notified of their status by June 16, 2017
• The week-long leadership training and public event will take place in Spain October 2-10, 2017
