The Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC) is pleased to announce the launch of four new scholarships that were established by the CRIC Diversity & Inclusion Committee and are designed to attract Black and Indigenous students to the Canadian research, analytics and insights industry.
These scholarships are specifically designed to support your academic journey and pave the way for a successful career in the research, analytics, and insights industry. Responding to the findings of the 2022 GRBN Survey, which highlighted the underrepresentation of Black and Indigenous individuals, these scholarships aim to create more equitable opportunities. The survey indicated that many Black and Indigenous professionals are not only underrepresented but also more likely to consider leaving the industry due to experiences of discrimination.
By providing financial assistance and resources, these scholarships seek to empower students from these communities, fostering a more inclusive environment within the field. The initiative aims to ensure that diverse perspectives are not only welcomed but also valued in shaping the future of research and analytics in Canada. Ultimately, these scholarships strive to encourage underrepresented individuals to pursue their academic and professional aspirations, contributing to a richer and more diverse industry.
