Applications call for Full fee Academic Excellence Scholarships at the University of Utah in the United States.
Scholarship Benefits
The Academic Excellence Scholarships at the University of Utah covers the full tuition up to 18 hours of tuition per semester (fall and spring) beginning Fall 2020. The coverage will be for a maximum of eight semesters, or until the scholarship recipient receives a baccalaureate degree, whichever comes first. Moreover, the scholarships will not cover fees.
In addition to the Academic Excellence Scholarship, the university can also be able to offer you a housing scholarship in the amount of $3,200 ($1,600 per semester) for one year. For this, candidates must apply and qualify for need-based federal financial aid.
The Academic Excellence Scholarships at the University of Utah are open to all the entering freshmen students who hold an “out of state” student category at the time of the enrollment. Moreover, the cumulative GPA and ACT/SAT Scores determine the scholarships. The University can offer awards only to the top applicants who submit application material on time. However, it is the responsibility of the student to ensure that all necessary documents are on file at the University by the November 1 priority application date.
Applicants must enroll as a full-time student each semester. Candidates must register for 12 or more credit hours to maintain the scholarships. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of scholarship.
The University of Utah Academic Excellence Scholarships can be renewed. However, for renewal, the recipient must maintain a 3.6 cumulative GPA and complete twenty-four (24) credit hours during the two semesters of the academic year (12 hours each, fall and spring semesters), twenty (20) of which must be graded. The university will review the standing of students for these requirements after the completion of the second, fourth, and sixth semesters.
