Global Scholarship

Award of $4,000 per year ($2,000 per semester), reducing the cost of a Kent State 4-year undergraduate degree by up to $16,000.

Eligibility:

• Student qualifies as an incoming international student

• Having a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on US 4.0 scale
• Unconditional Admission to Kent State University as a freshman
• Moreover, demonstrated interest and initiative in promoting intercultural learning and exchange

International Freshman Scholarship

The award range from $2,000 to $20,000 per year.

Eligibility:

• New freshman only (transfers are not eligible); Fall admission only
• Also, minimum cumulative Secondary school GPA 3.6 on US 4.0 scale
• 27 ACT Composite,1260 new SAT or 1210 old SAT Critical Reading & Math
• In addition, unconditional Admission to Kent State University as a freshman

Automatic consideration for the scholarship if you apply by the deadline of February 1.

International Civic Engagement Scholarship

One-time award ranging from $2,000-$31,856.00

Eligibility:

• Open to International Freshman that demonstrate excellent academics
• Students must submit examples of past civic engagement or volunteering and public presentation skills, as well as demonstrate an excellent command of English
• Besides, students must give presentations within the community about their home country/culture
• Having a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on US 4.0 scale
• Unconditional Admission to Kent State University as a freshman

Students will need to submit scholarship application form by April 1 for fall and October 1 for spring session.

Global Diversity Scholarship

One-time award from $2,000-$31,856.00

Eligibility:

• International new Freshman that demonstrate excellent academics as well as come from underrepresented regions
• Above all, jointly nominated by the departments and the Office of Global Education
• Students will add to the diversity of the student population based on country/region of origin or ethno-linguistic background
• Having a minimal overall GPA of 3.0 on US 4.0 scale
• Furthermore, unconditional Admission to Kent State University as a freshman

Undergraduate Merit-based Scholarship

One-time award from $2,000-$15,000

• International new freshman with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on US 4.0 scale
