Fully Funded Scholarship in Singapore is available for students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.

The National Arts Council (NAC) of Singapore is offering this scholarship to support outstanding individuals who wish to advance their career in the arts as well as lead positive changes in the areas of artistic practice, production, engagement and/or management. NAC recognises the need to continue to invest in and nurture a diversity of arts practitioners and professionals who have the knowledge and skills to lead the development of the scene, as well as champion the value of the arts to a wider community. The NAC currently offers the following two scholarships for individuals developing Singapore’s arts and cultural landscape:

NAC Arts Scholarship (Undergraduate)

The NAC Arts Scholarship (Undergraduate) aims to nurture outstanding individuals who wish to pursue a career as an arts practitioner or professional, and in addition, have the potential to lead in the fields of performing arts, visual arts, literary arts, community arts, arts education, technical design and production management, or arts management in Singapore.

A wide range of full-time arts and arts-related Bachelor’s degree programmes at recognised universities or arts institutions in Singapore or overseas are eligible for support. Applicants must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents. Applicants must possess GCE “A” level, Diploma, International Baccaleureate or equivalent. Eligible applicants will be assessed based on:

• Potential contribution of the applicant’s area of studies to the development of the arts and cultural sector in Singapore
• Also, Leadership qualities
• Talent (creative potential)
• Likewise, Strong track record of co-curricular activities, and/or achievements and involvement in the arts in Singapore
• Good academic record

NAC Arts Scholarship (Postgraduate)

The NAC Arts Scholarship (Postgraduate) recognises outstanding arts practitioners and professionals developing their practice. Moreover, it acknowledges the work in the fields of performing arts, visual arts, literary arts, community arts, arts education, technical design and production management, or arts management in Singapore. Furthermore, it supports the deepening of knowledge and skills of practising artists and professionals who are seeking to assume a bigger role in their artistic or professional career and bring about positive changes in the arts and cultural sector in Singapore.

A wide range of full-time arts and arts-related Master’s or Doctorate degree programmes at recognised universities or arts institutions in Singapore or overseas are eligible for support. Applicants must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents. Applicants must possess a Bachelor degree or equivalent. Eligible applicants will be assessed based on:

• Potential contribution of the applicant’s area of studies to the development of the arts and cultural sector in Singapore
• Also, Leadership qualities
• Talent (creative potential)
• Similarly, strong track record of co-curricular activities, and/or achievements and involvement in the arts in Singapore
• Good academic record
• At least 2 years of relevant industry experience

Scholarship Benefits

For local study, the Scholarship will cover tuition and compulsory fees up to 90% of total costs, subject to a maximum of $110,000.

For overseas study, the Scholarship will cover tuition and compulsory fees, monthly maintenance allowance and also, one-time return airfare up to 90% of total costs, subject to a maximum of $110,000.
