The Information Service of the United Nations Office at Geneva internship is for a period of three to six months depending on the needs of the service.
This social media internship is unpaid and full-time where interns work five days per week (40 hours) under the supervision of the Press Officer in charge of social media. The work will focus on researching and preparing written and multimedia content for the flagship @UNGeneva accounts on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram support the Net Zero Scholarship, a program to identify and engage with young innovators who are reimaging energy for people and planet today.
ETH Zurich calls application for Postdoctoral Position in Epidemic Modeling of COVID-19 in Switzerland. The Health Geography and Policy Group is looking for a postdoctoral researcher with a background in infectious disease dynamics, applied mathematics, or data sciences.
The research project will focus on comparisons of compartmental epidemic models with agent-based epidemic models as part of a collaboration with the Institute for Transport Planning and Systems of ETH Zurich. The successful candidates will also have the exciting opportunity to lead the groups’ activities on COVID-19. These include the development of the platform icumonitoring.ch and the production of daily epidemic simulations of COVID-19 to inform authorities in Switzerland. The candidate will also bring his/her own research questions to develop in the broadly defined field of health geography.

At CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, physicists and engineers are probing the fundamental structure of the universe. Using the world’s largest and most complex scientific instruments, they study the basic constituents of matter – fundamental particles that are made to collide together at close to the speed of light. The process gives physicists clues about how particles interact, and provides insights into the fundamental laws of nature.
