The Global Investigative Journalism Conference (GIJC25) is the world’s largest gathering of investigative journalists, providing a unique platform for learning, networking, and collaboration. With the support of sponsors and partners, fellowships are being offered to journalists from the Global South and historically underrepresented groups to attend this prestigious event.

The competition for these fellowships is intense, and you must demonstrate how you will effectively utilize the training and resources offered at GIJC25. The conference will feature hands-on workshops on the latest investigative tools and techniques, providing participants with valuable skills to enhance their journalistic work. In 2025, GIJC25 will be held for the first time in Asia, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Eligibility for Investigative Journalism

• Open to full-time print, online, television, video, radio, documentary, and multimedia journalists, including full-time freelance journalists, in developing or transitioning countries;
• Experience in investigative or data journalism a plus;
• They prioritize journalists from the Global South, and those from historically underrepresented groups.
