IRENA Youth Forum 2026 – “Youth Innovation and Digital Solutions: From AI to Access in Renewable Energy”
The IRENA Youth Forum is the signature youth-empowerment event hosted by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), designed to give young changemakers a voice in shaping global energy and climate policy. The 2026 edition—its 8th—is themed:
“Youth Innovation and Digital Solutions: From AI to Access in Renewable Energy.”
It will be held from 8 to 10 January 2026 in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The closing session aligns with the 16th IRENA Assembly on 10 January.
Why Attend?
Participants will:
- Engage in high-level opening sessions, interactive workshops, and the closing session during the IRENA Assembly.
- Explore the role of AI and digital tools in accelerating access to renewable energy, building inclusive energy systems, and innovation in policy, business models, and advocacy.
- Network with peers, industry players, policymakers, and global energy stakeholders.
- Co-develop a Youth Forum Outcome Statement which will feed into global discussions on renewable energy policy.

- Youth aged 18 to 35 years from anywhere in the world.
- Individuals who are actively engaged in renewable energy, sustainability, innovation, research, startups, or advocacy.
- Motivation to collaborate, scale impact, and bring forward digital/AI-based solutions for energy access.
