Eligibility Criteria for Japanese Government Undergraduate Scholarship

• Must be a citizen of a country that has diplomatic relations with Japan
• Born on or after April 2, 2001
• Must have completed 12 years of education or expected to complete by March/August 2026
• Willingness to learn Japanese and study in Japanese
• Must be physically and mentally fit to study in Japan
• Must be able to arrive in Japan between April 1 and 7, 2026 (or in Fall 2026 if direct placement applies)

Required Documents of Japanese Government Undergraduate Scholarship

• Completed Application Form
• Academic Transcripts (High School/University)
• Graduation or Expected Graduation Certificate
• Recommendation Letter from the Principal or Teacher
• Medical Certificate (MEXT Format)
• Language Proficiency Certificate (if available)
• University Entrance Qualification Certificate (if applicable)
• Certificate of Enrollment (for currently enrolled students)

Note: All documents must be in English or Japanese, or accompanied by an official translation.
