Linköping University offers a limited number of scholarships to outstanding international students. For some programmes and nationalities, it is also possible to apply for a scholarship through the Swedish Institute (SI). There are also other funding opportunities for studies in Sweden.

Moreover, LiU International Scholarships are aimed at supporting international master’s degree students with significant academic potential from countries outside the European Union/European Economic Area (and Switzerland) who are required to pay tuition fees. The tuition fees for a student awarded a LiU International Scholarship are reduced by 25, 50, 75 or 100%. In addition, they offer a limited number of these scholarships to new students.

• The tuition fees for a student awarded an LIU International Scholarship are reduced by 25, 50, 75 or 100%.
• Also, Scholarships within the program LIU International Scholarships will result in a tuition fee waiver of 50-100 %.
• The scholarship covers the total tuition fee or part of the tuition fee. If the scholarship covers part of the tuition fee, the student must pay the outstanding amount (=the remainder of the fee) no later than the payment deadline.

Eligibility

Students who have applied for a master’s programme at Linköping University and who meet the following conditions are eligible to apply for a scholarship:

1. Applied by the deadline for the first admission round (15 January 2019),
2. Also, Chose a master’s programme at Linköping University as first priority (ranked as number 1 of 4)
3. Have been admitted to students first choice in the First Notification of Selection Results (4 April 2019),
4. Also, Are required to pay tuition fees.

Application Deadline

The application opens each year for a very short window of time. Eligible students are invited to apply before the deadline for applications closes.
