NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship Program 2026–27 – Up to $60,000 for PhD Research with Industry Internship
The NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship Program, now in its 25th year, offers fully funded support to outstanding PhD students conducting research in areas highly relevant to NVIDIA’s focus—such as AI, autonomous vehicles, robotics, computer graphics, and high-performance computing. Each fellowship provides financial aid of up to US $60,000, access to advanced technologies, and a gateway into NVIDIA’s research ecosystem.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Have completed at least one year of full-time PhD studies by the time of application, and not plan to graduate before May/June 2027.
- Be actively engaged in research within fields such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, System Architecture, Electrical Engineering, or related domains.
- Be available for the in-person summer internship at an eligible NVIDIA research location.
- Not be an immediate family member of a current NVIDIA employee.
Selection & Application Process
Applications are evaluated on three key pillars:
- Student quality: includes letters of recommendation, academic performance, and achievements.
- Research quality: consistency of prior results, publication record, and strength of the proposed research plan.
- Relevance to NVIDIA: alignment of the research with NVIDIA’s strategic domains and potential impact on GPU design or usage.
Required materials for submission:
- Two-page research summary/thesis proposal (plus bibliography, excluded from page limit).
- Current CV/resume.
- Minimum of two recommendation letters, including one from your thesis advisor.
- Confirmation of availability for the mandatory summer internship.
Timeline & Deadlines
- Application Deadline: Monday, 15 September 2025, at 3:00 PM Pacific Time. Recommendation letters are due earlier, by 12:00 noon PT.
- After the summer internship (summer 2026), the fellowship year (2026–27) formally begins.
