The Kan Tong Po Fellowship aims to enhance scientific research and education at the University of Hong Kong, Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the City University of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. This is achieved by awarding Visiting Fellowships annually to scientists based in the UK or USA, fostering collaborations with academics in Hong Kong. Additionally, Hong Kong-based scientists are provided opportunities to collaborate with academics in the UK or USA through this Fellowship.
The Royal Society recognizes that diversity is essential for delivering excellence in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The Society wants to encourage applications from the widest range of backgrounds, perspectives and experiences to maximise innovation and creativity in science for the benefit of humanity.

Assessment of your application will be overseen by the International Exchanges Panel. Following eligibility checks, applications are reviewed and assessed by two members of the International Exchanges Panel who have the most appropriate scientific expertise. A shortlist is then drawn up with oversight from the Panel Chair to be recommended for funding.
