  • Graduate Scholarship for Excellent Foreign Students (GSFS):
    • Tuition Fee: Full exemption for up to 4 semesters
    • Living Expenses: 500,000 KRW per month (varies by major)
  • SNU President Fellowship Program (SPF):
    • Tuition Fee: Full exemption for up to 6 semesters
    • Living Expenses: 1,500,000 KRW ~ 2,000,000 KRW per month for 3 ~ 4 years
    • Round-Trip Airfare: Economy class based on the GTS system
    • Korean Language Training: Evening classes during regular semesters
    • National Health Insurance Fee Reimbursement
  • Silk-Road Scholarship:
    • Tuition Fee: Full exemption for up to 4 semesters
    • Living Expenses: Maximum of 600,000 KRW per month for 4 semesters
    • Airfare: Maximum of 1 million KRW for one economy round trip
    • Korean Language Training Fee: Exemption at the Language Education Institute
  • Overseas Koreans Scholarship:
    • Tuition Fee: Full exemption for up to 4 semesters (conditions apply)
    • Living Expenses: 900,000 KRW per month for 4 semesters (maximum)
    • Airfare: One economy round trip
    • Korean Language Training Fee: Exemption at the Language Education Institute for 6 months
    • Medical Insurance Subscription (private company).

Eligibility of Seoul National University Scholarships

  • Applicants must be international students.
  • Both applicants and their parents must not be residents of South Korea.
  • A bachelor’s degree is a prerequisite for master’s program applicants.
  • PhD program applicants must possess a master’s degree.
  • A strong academic background is a must.
  • Physical and mental fitness are required.
  • Applicants must meet the specific criteria and requirements of their chosen program.
  • For the SNU President Fellowship Program, applicants must be faculty members of major universities from eligible developing countries.
