Social Justice Partners LA Systems Change Fellowship 2025–2026 ($10,000 grant)

The Systems Change Fellowship supports LA-based nonprofit initiatives led by those with lived experience of the systemic issues they’re tackling. The program focuses on peer-learning and relationship building, connecting as a part of the interwoven landscape of social justice in Los Angeles. Their cohort members tackle a wide range of interconnected systemic issues through policy advocacy, narrative and culture shift, and building power.

The 2025-26 cohort will present their stories at SJPLA’s 2026 Story of Us LA, inviting hundreds of guests to join their work towards a more just and loving Los Angeles. The event comes at the end of a ten-week training process supported by SJPLA coaches.

Benefits of Systems Change Fellowship

Each cohort member is offered:

  • $10,000 unrestricted grant, plus more raised through the SJPLA network.
  • Peer support, and pro-bono coaching.
  • SJPLA’s signature Story of Us LA training with a professionally filmed video and a platform at our annual event.
  • Expanded network of supporters, including nonprofit leaders, funders, and donors.
  • Increased exposure through SJPLA’s network and being an important part of the SJPLA community after their program ends. They continue to be a touchstone and support for alum from years past.
