Our Climate Voices (OCV) is a trailblazing digital media organization dedicated to humanizing the climate disaster through storytelling, centering the voices of front line communities and those most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, as well as connecting people with ways to support climate solution-making work that impacted communities are already doing. Moreover, OCV believes in the power of storytelling to both amplify and bring attention to the ways in which climate change exacerbates inequality as well as to excite people to support community-based climate action.

Furthermore, the OCV fellowships are a unique opportunity for candidates to join their team. In addition, the fellowship will allow candidates to be fully immersed in their storytelling mission, work with and be mentored by one of their core team members, as well as give candidates a chance to develop their arts activism and storytelling portfolio. Unfortunately, their fellowships are unpaid at this time, but they can offer up to $50 in work-related reimbursements each month to ensure that costs associated with the fellowship are covered. Also, Fellows will work remotely, and are asked to contribute 10-15 hours a week.

Story Telling Fellow

The key responsibilities of the Storytelling Fellow are to:

• Participate in and conduct OCV interviews that take place during the fellowship term;
• Also, Track fast-moving climate justice developments for OCV to follow as well as amplify the voices of key leaders in their movement;
• Transcribe OCV interviews that take place during the fellowship term; and
• Provide editorial support for final pieces.

They are looking for a Storytelling Fellow who is:

• Able to work quickly under time-constraints;
• Also, Comfortable discussing and presenting ideas to the team;
• Committed to the principles of environmental and climate justice;
• Also, Detail-oriented and has previous editing experience; and
• Enthusiastic about their work.

Design & Communications Fellow

The key responsibilities of the Design & Communications Fellow are to:

• Create dynamic graphic media for fast-growing organization;
• Also, Develop and manage social media posts; and
• Create a diverse portfolio of graphics including flyers, advertisements, as well as calls to action.

They are looking for a Design & Social Media Fellow who is:

• Able to incorporate OCV’s vision into digital media;
• Also, Comfortable discussing and presenting ideas to the team;
• Committed to the principles of environmental and climate justice;
• Detail-oriented and able to work under time-constraints; and
• Enthusiastic about their work.
