The Deutschlandstipendium at German Universities

The Deutschlandstipendium is a public-private partnership scholarship program that provides financial support to talented and high-achieving students from all over the world who are studying at public and state-recognized universities in Germany. Each scholarship recipient receives a monthly amount of €300, of which €150 is contributed by the federal government and €150 is provided by private sponsors.

The Deutschlandstipendium is awarded to students who have demonstrated academic excellence, social commitment, and personal achievements. The application process is competitive and is based on the following criteria:

  • Academic achievement: Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a scale of 1.0 to 4.0).
  • Social commitment: Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to social or community engagement. This could include volunteering, working with disadvantaged populations, or participating in extracurricular activities.
  • Personal achievements: Applicants may be considered for the Deutschlandstipendium based on their personal achievements, such as overcoming challenges or obstacles in their social or family background.

The application deadline for the Deutschlandstipendium is March 31st each year. Applicants must submit their applications to the university they are interested in attending.

In addition to the Deutschlandstipendium, there are a number of other scholarships available to international students who want to study in Germany. Some of these scholarships include:
