The Maurice R. Greenberg World Fellows Program at Yale University is now accepting applications for its 2026 cohort. This distinguished fellowship offers accomplished professionals from around the world a fully residential leadership experience at Yale, enabling them to engage in reflection, learning, mentorship, and global exchange.
Yale receives thousands of applications annually, but accepts only a select, geographically balanced cohort. The program values diversity across professions, cultures, experience, and perspective.
Program Format & Expectations
- Residency: Fellows must reside at Yale in New Haven, Connecticut for the full program (mid-August through mid-December).
- Compensation & Support: Fellows receive
• A taxable stipend for living expenses
• A furnished apartment (1 or 2 bedrooms)
• Medical insurance
• Round-trip travel to and from their home country - Eligibility & Criteria:
• Applicants should be 5 to 25 years into their professional careers with significant achievements at regional, national, or international levels (average age is ≈ 39).
• Applicants must be citizens of countries other than the United States (dual U.S. citizens are eligible, though preference is given to non-U.S.–focused candidates).
• Fluency in English is required.
• Fellows must show record of integrity, leadership, and potential for contribution and impact, along with capacity for creative, strategic thinking. - Application Requirements:
• Résumé / CV (max 3 pages)
• Personal Statement (max 600 words)
• Three letters of recommendation
• Brief video statement - No application fee; process is fully online.
