The Fully Funded University of Edinburgh Scholarship are available at School of Philosophy, Psychology, Language Science for international postgraduate students.

Further, the university provides funded scholarships to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Talking about postgraduate studies, the School of Philosophy, Psychology, Language Science is providing a number of partially funded as well as fully funded scholarships.
William Hunter Sharpe Memorial Scholarship
One or more scholarships are available to postgraduate students accepted onto the full-time MSc Creative Writing programme or the full-time MSc Playwriting programme.
Eligibility
The scholarship is on the basis of academic merit. Moreover, candidates should have the equivalent of an upper second-class honors degree from a recognized university. The Selection Panel will also consider the submitted portfolio of work as part of their selection.
Applying
All applicants applying for the program by 30th April 2019 for the MSc in Creative Writing programme or the MSc Playwriting programme will automatically be eligible for this scholarship.

Muriel Smith Scholarship
The School of Literatures, Languages, and Cultures at the University of Edinburgh is delighted to invite applications for a postgraduate scholarship to be awarded in 2019/20.
Award
The award will cover tuition fees for a maximum of one year at the Home/EU rate for the chosen Masters programme of study (up to a maximum of £10,100). Further, successful overseas applicants will be liable for the difference between the Home/EU and Overseas fees rates.
Eligibility
Applicants must have applied for a Masters programme of study within the School of Literatures, Languages, and Cultures before 11th April 2019. Applicant must submit their references by 25th April 2019. Moreover, the award will support one female postgraduate master’s student who has been domiciled in Scotland for a minimum of 4 years prior to the commencement of the MSc programme.
Applicants to the following degree programmes are eligible:
- Masters by Research (MScR) French Studies of Hispanic (Peninsular Spanish) Studies
- MSc Translation Studies, specializing in French or Spanish
However, PhD students are not eligible to apply for this scheme.
The scholarship will cover one year of study only. However, part-time students will have the Home/EU tuition fees paid in each of the two years of study.
Applicants must submit their Scholarship application by 2nd May 2019.

John Orr Research Award
The School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures will offer one award for research in any romance literature, language or dialect.
Award
The award is worth £2,300 and will be tenable for one academic year.
Deadline: 1 May 2019
Eligibility
The award is tenable by postgraduate students who are graduates of the University, registered as candidates for a Masters or PhD degree in the University, or will be registered as such in September 2019. Students entering their 1st to 3rd year of PhD study in September 2019 will be eligible to apply.
Applying
- Applicants must submit their name, student number (UUN), degree programme which they are taking in September 2019.
- Also, statement of any financial support or scholarships currently received or applied for, with an indication of its duration.

- Further, applicants must provide an outline of the research s/he will take, methodology and an explanation of why it is important and original.
