The SDGs Campus Ambassador Programme is a 10-week leadership programme for students in the tertiary institution, aimed at educating, transforming their mindset and raising their commitment to becoming global leaders and active changemakers for sustainable development.
The SDGs Campus Ambassadors Program recognizes the pivotal role that students in tertiary institutions play in shaping the future. As future leaders and influencers, their mindset, commitment, and actions can significantly impact the trajectory of sustainable development. This 10-week leadership program aims to educate, transform, and empower students to become global leaders and active changemakers dedicated to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The overarching objective of the SDGs Campus Ambassadors Program is to nurture 10 million socially responsible leaders by 2030, equipped with the knowledge, skills, and passion needed to spearhead sustainable development initiatives. We aim to elevate awareness and comprehension of the SDGs in over 5000 tertiary institutions in Africa; encouraging active participation in community-based projects aligned with specific SDGs, and fostering a tangible sense of social impact and responsibility.
By instilling a profound understanding of the SDGs, fostering leadership skills, and catalyzing the initiation of impactful community-based projects, the program seeks to plant the seeds of lasting change and amplify awareness of the SDGs within their respective communities and institutions.
