WACCBIP DELTAS II Graduate Internship Programme 2024/2025 | Stipend Available

The WACCBIP DELTAS II programme is a Graduate internship programme for new graduates to work in an environment that supports and promotes the development of research leadership.

The West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens (WACCBIP), functioning as a Center of Excellence for biomedical research, diligently facilitates and sustains an extensive array of research endeavors, synergistically collaborating with its esteemed international partners. This collaborative effort includes the pivotal DELTAS II program, which is generously supported by the Science for Africa Foundation (SFA), receiving funding from the esteemed Wellcome Trust and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).

Stipend

• The successful Graduate Intern will be supported with a monthly stipend as top-up to their National Service allowance.

Eligibility for WACCBIP DELTAS II Graduate Internship Programme

To apply for this programme, you must:

1. Have completed undergraduate studies by July/August 2024 and registered for National Service
2. Have majored in any of the Biological Sciences, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, English Communication, and Linguistics
3. Be hardworking, highly motivated and interested in promoting scientific research

The successful Graduate Intern will be expected to:

• Assist in research activities at WACCBIP
• Contribute to the delivery of training programmes at WACCBIP
• Participate in research conferences and workshops
• Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Director and/or immediate supervisor
