Embedded Systems/Software Engineer position is available at Robotics Institute of Carnegie Mellon University.
About the University
Carnegie Mellon was founded in 1900 by Andrew Carnegie under the premise that a school established to foster and develop the technical skills of its students would soon produce students and graduates whose work would astound Pittsburgh and the world. Over 100 years later, the institution continues to produce talented alumni and draws faculty and staff eager to be a part of the university’s creative, passionate and close-knit community. It places emphasis on practical problem solving, interdisciplinary learning, an entrepreneurial spirit, and collaboration.
The Biorobotics Lab is a part of Carnegie Mellon’s Robotics Institute that specializes in research and development of biological inspired robotic systems to address real world problems such as manufacturing, minimal invasive surgery, and disaster response. It recently began investigating food, recycling, and archeology. Its dream is to design and build novel robotic systems that will fundamentally change the way bio-inspired and modular robots solve problems of national importance and expand our core understanding of fundamental science.
