Quality Management Specialist position is available at Global Health and Supply Chain Office of Chemonics International.
Chemonics seeks a Quality Management Specialist to support the USAID Global Health Supply Chain-Procurement Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project. The Specialist will help establish and grow the Quality Management System (QMS) from an initial operating capability to a fully-utilized and integrated system that helps the GHSC-PSM project to achieve quality objectives and enables process improvements to help GHSC-PSM meet requirements and improve effectiveness and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Lead QMS resource development by working with Process Leaders and SMEs throughout the GHSC-PSM project to document and refine core business processes in the form of policies, procedures, work instructions, and other QMS documents.
Track status of QMS documents under development and follow up with process leaders and contributors to support completion. Notify staff of changes to approved processes
Support and facilitate process improvement initiatives by working with Process Leaders, System Administrators and SMEs to standardize and streamline processes and workflows
Lead or facilitate the implementation of GHSC-PSM process improvement projects
Liaise, as a subject matter expert, on process improvement with internal stakeholders. Propose solutions to requests for business process reengineering and analyze requests to determine the best course of action
Collaborate with the QMU Continual Implement Team on project risk and incident management, conduct risk and incident root cause analysis, and facilitate identification of corrective and preventive actions with process leaders and SMEs
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Management Systems or equivalent work experience required. Master’s Degree or equivalent education preferred
Minimum three years or greater of relevant work experience in quality management, SOP development, and/or process improvement required
Extremely high attention to detail and problem solving skills essential
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills essential
Strong facilitation skills a plus
Demonstrated ability to quickly master new tasks
Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and provide leadership on multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Office, Visio, and SharePoint online essential
Prior experience and knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015 standard
Experience with process mapping and value stream mapping a big plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
Proficiency in spoken and written English
