The AI Illumination Grant is a powerful initiative designed to educate and empower Black-owned businesses by demystifying artificial intelligence and showcasing its potential as a transformative tool for growth and innovation. While AI can often seem complex or intimidating, this program offers a series of engaging, easy-to-follow webinars that break down the technology into practical, real-world applications. From streamlining operations to enhancing customer experiences, participants will learn how to leverage AI confidently and strategically to drive their businesses forward. The goal is to equip entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools needed to thrive in today’s digital landscape and embrace the future with clarity and confidence.

Following the educational programming, attendees will be invited to apply for a first-of-its-kind grant. Two applicants will win a share of a $35,000 total grant pool to supercharge their businesses. Don’t miss this opportunity to transform the unknown into fuel for success!

AI Illumination Grant Awards:

• Winner will receive $20,000
• Runner-Up will receive $15,000

Eligibility for AI Illumination

• Attend at least one of two educational webinars offered as part of the program.
• Be a member of the Fifteen Percent Pledge’s Business Equity Community.
• Operate an e-commerce business in any category, selling a unique physical product.
• Be Black-owned, with at least 50% ownership by a self-identifying Black individual.
• Employ between 1–15 team members, including the founder.
• No minimum revenue is required to qualify.

Selection Criteria

The grant selection committee will evaluate applicants based on the following:

• Clear potential for business growth.
• Demonstrated sustainable competitive advantage in the market.
• Leadership by a strong management team with relevant industry experience.
• A compelling and specific use case for AI tools to overcome growth barriers and scale effectively.
• A commitment to fostering inclusivity and contributing positively to the broader community.
