Asia–Europe Science & Technology Diplomacy Training & Youth Summit 2025
The Asia–Europe Foundation (ASEF) presents a unique platform for early-career professionals to engage in science and technology diplomacy through an immersive learning and networking programme. Spanning two months, the initiative includes:
- A 7-week interactive online training (23 October – 4 December 2025)
- An in-person Youth Summit (15–18 December 2025) in Copenhagen, Denmark
This dual-format approach enables participants to sharpen their diplomatic skills and contribute meaningfully to Asia‑Europe collaboration in innovation.

Online Training

- Focus Areas: Science’s role in diplomacy, innovation in diplomacy, and cultural sensitivity in international collaboration
Youth Summit
- Dates: 15–18 December 2025
- Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
- Highlights: In-depth case studies, roundtables, simulations, and a joint Youth Declaration on Asia‑Europe Science Diplomacy at the 2nd European Science Diplomacy Conference, hosted under the Danish EU Presidency
Who Should Apply?
Ideal participants include early-career professionals under 35 working in the intersection of science, technology, and international relations—specifically:
- Civil Society: Research and science managers in universities or research institutions
- Government: Diplomats or officials involved in international S&T cooperation
Applicants must be citizens of eligible Asian or European countries, and fluent in English.
