Through a range of competitions and other opportunities, The Art Institutes system of schools is offering funded Art Institute scholarship to new and current students during the upcoming school year. Furthermore, it also offers a variety of financial resources to help qualified students manage their school expenses. Moreover, their dedicated Student Financial Aid officers will help you explore all your options—including grants, loans, and scholarships—as you prepare to launch a creative career where you do what you love.

Moreover, the funded Art Institute Scholarship is available for the following subjects:

  • Animation & Effects
  • Culinary
  • Fashion Film & Production
  • Gaming & Technology
  • Interior Design
  • Marketing
  • Visual Design

BENEFITS:

The Academic Achievement Scholarship allows qualifying new students to earn up to a 20% tuition scholarship, up to $18,650, by maintaining an honors level Grade Point Average (GPA) and completing community service related projects in their field of study while attending Ai as a full-time student.

AWARD CRITERIA:

The Art Institute will consider the applicant for the Academic Achievement Scholarship if the student meets the following criteria:

  • Students must be registered full time in The Art Institute’s Catalog.
  • ACT and SAT scores recommended but not required.
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 to 4.0 from high school or prior college; transcripts must be provided for verification.
  • Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 to 4.0 while attending The Art Institute.
  • Three letters of recommendation; a combination of high school guidance counselor and teachers or 3 teachers or community leaders.
  • Must remain continuously enrolled, with no breaks in enrollment.
  • Likewise, maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), as defined in The Art Institute’s catalog
  • Similarly, be enrolled in a Certificate, Diploma, Associate degree, or Bachelor degree academic program at The Art Institute.
  • Also, have the Memorandum of Understanding completed, signed, dates and on file.
  • Must show a portfolio of work.
  • 1st and 2nd-year recipients must complete two community service projects in their field of study and submit the projects to review committee.
  • 3rd-year recipients must complete one community service project in their field of student and submit the project to review committee.

Involvement in a community service project provides opportunities for students to develop a better understanding of the role of community service and civic responsibility within their community and their contribution and influence on the project. Once eligible, the institute will provide specific expectations and criteria for community service projects. However, the institute will take the following criteria into consideration before assigning the community service.

  • investigation of the project
  • project planning
  • participation and involvement
  • record keeping
  • student reflection.

AWARDING PARAMETERS

  • Maintain a GPA of 3.8 to 4.0 on a cumulative basis each quarter to receive up to a 20% tuition scholarship not to exceed $18,650.
  • Maintain a GPA of 3.5 to 3.79 on a cumulative basis each quarter to receive up to a 15% tuition scholarship not to exceed $14,000.
  • However, failure to meet the cumulative GPA, full-time enrollment level, and continuous enrollment requirements each quarter will result in failure to receive the Scholarship for the current quarter.
  • But, students can regain eligibility in each quarter. If the student does not qualify in the current quarter, they can regain eligibility in subsequent quarters.
  • Moreover, the Scholarship will be disbursed to the student’s account after verifying eligibility at the end of each quarter.
  • If a credit balance is created on the student’s account once all charges and aid pay for the quarter in which the student receives the Scholarship, The Art Institute will issue the credit balance as a result of this Scholarship in the form of a stipend to the student.
  • Also, for students receiving veteran education benefits, the amount of tuition certified to the Department of Veterans Affairs will be reduced by the amount of the Tuition Scholarship.
  • The Scholarship is not transferrable.
  • You may use the Scholarship in combination with other scholarships or grants, including institutional.
  • Employees of eligible immediate family members participating in the DCEH Tuition Voucher Program are not eligible to participate in the Scholarship program.
