The Charles Wallace Visiting Fellowship Programme invites scholarships application from Pakistani Students currently seeking to pursue PhD degree. Charles Wallace Pakistan Trust (CWPT) provides assistance to mid-career professionals who wish to undertake short visits to the United Kingdom to broaden their professional knowledge, skills, and contacts. CWPT’s trustees have the authority to use the income from the Trust’s funds to benefit Pakistanis who are normally resident in Pakistan by enabling them to advance their professional development or doctoral studies in the United Kingdom in ways specified below.  Administrative costs are kept to a minimum, and almost 90% of CWPT’s investment income is spent on the Trust’s educational work.

The fellowship may take the form of an attachment to a university department, professional institution, or arts center. The two principal purposes are:

• Professional networking and interaction
• Study and Research

A Fellowship may last for between three weeks and three months.

The Award

Award holders will receive a grant of £1,450 per month. Further, s/he will receive a contribution of £800 towards international travel costs. However, the award-holders are responsible to make all arrangements in the UK in consultation with their host university.

Eligibility

• Be Pakistani nationals, residing in Pakistan, whose age is between 30 and 50.
• Likewise, Have a firm offer (for the period of time applied for) from a UK institution.
• Also, Apply only in the subject areas listed below. Applications in other subject areas will not be considered.

Eligible Subject Areas

Eligible disciplines are as follows: Social Sciences, Social Development, Humanities, Education, Arts and Creative Industries, Environmental Sciences, and Health Sciences.

How To Apply

Applicants must fulfill the eligibility criteria before applying for the scholarship. Only then students from Pakistani descent can apply for the PhD scholarships. The students must complete the application form and email it along with the necessary documents to the British Embassy in Pakistan.

Application Deadline

Applicants must submit their application along with the required documents to the British Embassy in Pakistan via email no later than 14 April 2019. Moreover, applicants submitting their applications post deadline are null and void.
