ICAO calls application for the Future Aviation Design Competition 2019. Aviation has helped not only people to safely travel long distances in a matter of minutes but also is a key part for business and economic industry. International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is a UN specialized agency to manage the administration and governance of the Convention on International Civil Aviation. It works in developing the policies in support of a safe, efficient, secure, economically sustainable and environmentally responsible civil aviation sector. Hence, ICAO 2019 is a Prototypes Competition is for anyone 18-and-over. It’s seeking maturely thought-out-3-D renderings (still images and/or video) of either new aircraft types or new types of operations.
In addition to visual proposals submitted, applicants will require to provide a business case summary of 500 words or less. The summary should describe why your solution should attract investment. Also, you should demonstrate how you may produce and implement it cost-effectively to improve people’s life. The prototypes submitted can be piloted or unmanned aircraft, of any size or shape. Moreover, there’s no limit to what you can propose. They can be used for in our skies and/or outer space.
The judging panel will decide the winner of the ICAO Future Aviation Design Competition. The winner will receive a cash prize of $5,000.
With the prototype and model ready, applicants will require to make online registration. Applicants will require to submit the online form along with the documents stated above.
ICAO will accept the submission for the Future Aviation Design Competition until 30 June 2019. Applications arriving post deadline are not eligible for the competition.
