National Model United Nations (NMUN) is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that advances understanding of the United Nations and contemporary international issues. Further, NMUN•DC offers eight simulated UN committees and procedural rules developed with UNITAR. The conference features smaller committee sizes than our New York conference, a crisis simulation in the Security Council, and also, briefings by distinguished speakers from the Washington, DC diplomatic community. Although delegates are encouraged to develop resolution writing skills, both in classroom scenarios and at other Model UN simulations, NMUN conferences do not accept pre-written resolutions. Further, Delegates should refrain from discussing the issues with other delegations until their first committee session.
