The International Labour Organization (ILO) announces its International Essay Competition on The Future of Work to celebrate its 100 Anniversary. Undergraduate students from Carribean Universities are welcome to apply. The world of work is undergoing a major process of change. The report of the ILO Global Commission on the Future of Work launched in January 2019 synthesizes such a process. Hence, the competition opens for an argument on what changes may come in the future, and how we can deal with it.
The essay must talk about the Future of Work and include:
The winner of the competition will receive a full scholarship inclusive of tuition and subsistence allowance. Further, they will receive travel funds to attend the summer academy on “The Future of Work”, 12–23 August 2019 At The International Training Center of the ILO (ITC-ILO), Turin, Italy.
All undergraduate students are eligible for the ILO Essay Competition. However, the undergraduate students must be of the Carrebean region.
To apply for the Future of Work International Essay Competition, the applicants must submit their completed essay via email to ILO before the deadline.
Submission for the ILO the Future of Work Essay is eligible for the competition if they arrive before the deadline. The deadline is set as 28 June 2019, 23:59 GTM-4. ILO doesn’t entertain essay that arrives after the deadline.
