Derwent, internationally renowned fine art brand, is proud to announce that the fifth installment of the Derwent Art Prize is now open for entries. The Derwent Art Prize was conceived in 2012 and aims to reward excellence by showcasing the very best artworks created in pencil by British and International artists. Among the entries, the jury will select approximately eighty artworks for display at Gallery@OXO in central London. After London’s gallery, the art will travel along France for display in 20 rue Saint Claude in Paris, France.
Alongside the chosen artworks being hung in a public display, prizes totaling over £12,500 will be awarded in an awards ceremony on the opening night of the exhibition.
In addition, Derwent will also provide the First and Second prize winners a special box of Derwent Lightfast Pencils. The revolutionary core is resistant to prolonged color change ensuring artwork will not fade for up to 100 years under museum conditions.
Derwent Art Challenge is open for all regardless of the national boundaries. Hence artists from all over the world can compete in the international art competition. Furthermore, the artists may only submit up to Six images.
To enter the Derwent Art Prize, the artist will require to submit via online form. Moreover, artists may submit up to 6 images. The jury is aware that some work may not lend itself to reproduction and wish to reassure artists that there may be opportunities to view actual works.

The entry fee for the Derwent Art challenge is £15 for the first work. Further, the artists must pay £5 for each additional submission. Artists may only enter once, with a maximum of 6 images.
However, artists under the age of 25 years may only pay £5 per work. Price and currency will vary depending on the country.
Entrants may submit their arts for Derwent Art Prize until Monday 17 February 2020. Derwent, however, will not consider entries eligible after passing the deadline.
