Design the first ever BUILT BY GIRLS phone case and win a $5K educational scholarship. Make My Case is a design competition where 2 young women or non-binary people between the ages of 15-22 years old will earn $5K. Further,  towards their future and have their original design printed on phone cases sold in Verizon retail and online stores nationwide. In partnership with Verizon and Speck, BUILT BY GIRLS is launching 2 phone cases designed by emerging creatives. The winning designs of the design competition will embody the BUILT BY GIRLS mission, and serve as an uplifting, daily declaration for the next generation of leaders.

Moreover, Your phone case design should show off your own unique style and personality. Also, think back to some of your favorite cases and draw inspiration from what you looked for as a customer. The Submissions will be judged by a panel of judges based equally on the following criteria:

• Clear & Concise: A design story that is well-stated and visible in the final product.
• On Theme: A design that will inspire our community to claim their power, use their voice, and also, take a seat at the table.
• Original and creative: A fresh take on the theme that makes us do a double-take when we see it for the first time.
  Simple yet powerful: A little can say a lot. Sometimes, the most iconic designs are the simplest. Don’t overdo it.
• Phone case ready: A design that is thoughtfully created with the phone in mind
