The Fully Funded Aston Enterprise Scholarship Scheme is designed to attract future entrepreneurs to Aston University and the City of Birmingham. The award includes one full scholarship and two partial scholarships to study a 12 month Masters Programme at the University commencing in September 2020. The scholarships are available to students who demonstrate that they have the potential to be successful entrepreneurs in the future. The winner will also have the opportunity to enroll in the BSEEN Program, enabling the individual to launch their new business after they have graduated.

Fully Funded Aston Enterprise Scholarship

One recipient of 2020 fully funded Aston Enterprise Scholarship will receive a full scholarship resulting in a 100% exemption in tuition fees. Further, two runners-up will receive a partial scholarship.

• Full scholarship (100% reduction in tuition fees) for a master’s course beginning in September 2020
• Guaranteed participation in BSEEN, including mentorship, office space and a grant to start a business in Birmingham after they graduate
• Also, the two runners-up will both receive a partial scholarship (40% reduction in tuition fees) for a master’s course

Eligibility for the Aston Enterprise Scholarship

Aston University considers a candidate eligible for its Enterprise Scholarship Scheme if they abide by the following criteria:

• The Scholarships are open to all UK, EU and International students who wish to apply for a 12 month Masters Programme at the University for entry in September 2020.
• Students must hold a current offer from the university to study a Master’s Programme at the University.
• Further, they must meet all conditions stated in their offer letter, for example, to have attained the appropriate IELTS (if applicable) prior to commencing the Masters Programme in September 2020
• However, students already in an existing Master’s Programme at the university are not eligible for the scholarship.
• Successful students will receive a reduction in academic tuition fees. No cash alternative is available.
• The Scholarships are valid for Masters Programmes commencing in September 2020 only. Neither the winner nor runners up may defer their commencement date to another academic year.
• Moreover, students must confirm that all material submitted is their own work and does not infringe on any intellectual property rights.
• Competition entries must be from individuals only, not teams.
• Shortlisted students must attend the university for the final round of the competition to close their submissions. In the event students are EU/International, the University will cover the cost of travel (economy fares only). The University will also cover the cost of no more than 3 nights’ accommodation at Conference Aston, Birmingham.

How to apply for the Aston Enterprise Scholarship

To apply for the fully funded Enterprise scholarship at Aston, candidates must hold an offer to pursue an MBA in the university. Next, the candidates will require to complete and submit the online form. Along with the online application, they must also upload a short (3-minute) video of their idea for a new business. The candidates should also demonstrate that their business can be successful in Birmingham.

Deadline

Aston University accepts the application for the 2020 MBA Enterprise Scholarship until 31 January 2020. Applications arriving after the deadline are not eligible for the scholarship.
