Fully-funded PhD Program at the University of Luxembourg. The University of Luxembourg invites applications to apply for Doctoral researchers (Ph.D. students) in economics or management of innovation. This is 14 months initial fixed-term contract, extendable up to 48 months maximum (depending on thesis progress evaluation) The incumbent will serve as a full-time position (40 h/week).

Responsibilities

The incumbent will do the following duties

• Work within the Research Unit of CREA, the Centre for Research in Economics and Management. In addition to that, may also contribute to research projects in the area of economics or management of innovation.
• Prepare a doctoral thesis in the field of economics or management of innovation, under the supervision of
• Professor Katrin Hussinger. However, the thesis work will be undertaken at the University of Luxembourg but can also be part of a jointly-supervised with another university.
• Furthermore, s/he will contribute to the teaching of classes ranging from one to three hours per week, of small group teachings and tutorials.

Requirements

Candidates must have the following qualifications in order to be eligible for this fully-funded PhD Program at University of Luxembourg

• Research master or a master in economics, management science, economics. In addition to that, s/he should have a good econometrics background.
• Knowledge of handling datasets (firm-level, patent level data) and also fluency in English.
