The applications for the University of Nottingham’s Excellence Scholarships 2020 have opened. Interested candidates can apply until 8th May 2020.

The excellence scholarships are for promising candidates aspiring to pursue a Masters degree from South Asian countries of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidates must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the University of Nottingham’s Excellence Scholarships
• The candidates must be a national of (or permanently domiciled in) Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan or Sri Lanka.
• Also, they must overseas student for fee purposes.
• Additionally, the candidates should hold an offer to start full-time masters (excluding MRes) in any subject area at the University of Nottingham UK in September 2020.

Value

• The award offers 4,000 pounds towards full-time masters tuition fees.

Application Criteria

• The University will ask the candidates about their achievements, study plans and reasons for choosing the University.
• They must make sure they have enough time to prepare strong answers.
• The administrators will assess their responses and academic merit when making scholarship decisions.
• Additionally, only the students who accept their offer to study with the University, will get the scholarship.
• They do not need to respond to their offer before applying for this scholarship.
• Furthermore, after offering a scholarship, if they do not then accept their offer, another applicant will receive their scholarship.
• Also, the award cannot be combined with another University of Nottingham regional or sports scholarship.
• However, the candidates may also be able to receive a subject scholarship or award from their country, where the combined total does not exceed 100% of tuition fees.
• This could include, for example, an award from Nottingham University Business School and/or the government or other funding bodies in their country.
