Responsibilities
- The Accountant will manage the financial and human resource functions for the College of Engineering and Applied Science’s Business office working with department heads and principal investigators.
- Responsible for research project/grants, SER funding, Foundation funding, and industry support and aspects of center administration.
- Prepare financial analysis and projections, build budgets and provide detail reports.
- Also, maintain detailed accurate records for research project/grants, SER funding, Foundation funding, and industry support.
- Additionally, prepare reports with financial analyses and future projections for the dean and center leaders. Provide systematic reports of current financial status.
- Also, build budgets and write justifications for research and industry proposals. Prepare all documents related to procurement, expenditures, and receivables.
- Similarly, he/she will serve as a resource for faculty and staff interpreting university and college policies and procedures for financial operations.
- Moreover, Manage the human resource functions working with department heads and principal investigators (PIs) on determining personnel needs and preparing cost analyses as part of the strategic planning for each center component.
- Furthermore, Perform personnel activities including payroll documents, personnel activity reports, and leave records.
Qualifications
The candidate should meet the following requirements for the Vacancy for Accountant at the University of Wyoming in the US
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or MIS/Accounting or Finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience: 1-year work-related experience in office work or bookkeeping

- Experience with UW Policies and procedures as well as with payroll and Human Resources
