Duties
The incumbent will have the following duties as an Academic Assistant
- Answer telephone, screen, and transfer calls take messages and refer to other offices as appropriate
- Also, assist in managing the daily operation of the front desk of International Student and Scholar Services
- Additionally, manage International Student and Scholar Services’ email inbox, and timely replying to emails with accurate information
- Also, maintain international student files and review for completeness
- Moreover, he/she should monitor the inventory of office supplies and event materials, and place reorders when necessary
- Similarly, the incumbent must supervise and delegate tasks and projects to student workers
- Responsible for managing the front desk calendar for office coverage
- Furthermore, he/she should monitor transactions of an operating budget
- Also, he/she will review purchase orders and invoices
- Hire and approve time for student workers
- Additionally, the Administrative Assistant will assist with International Student and Scholar Services’ events
- Assist international advisors as needed
- Also, attend professional developments such as Purchasing/Payables workshops (Bobcat Buyers)
- Furthermore, perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
