Duties
The incumbent does the following duties
- The academic advisor for graduate programs that processes admission applications prepares acceptance/denial emails, answers routine correspondence, explains policies and procedures, and informs students of upcoming deadlines.
- Additionally, Ensures compliance of program policies and requirements, including but not limited to, degree plans, probation and suspension policies, and international student policies.
- Also, Creates and maintains a database of all applicants and current students.
- Provides statistical reports for graduate programs.
- Furthermore, Assists with the marketing of graduate programs as well as recruiting efforts of new graduate students.
- Communicates with prospective students, currently enrolled students, faculty, and campus offices regarding graduate programs.
- Furthermore, Assists with the registration process of graduate students including adds and drops for graduate courses.
Qualifications
The candidate should meet the following criteria for the Vacancy for Academic Advisor at The University of Texas in the USA
- Master’s Degree
- Also, two years of experience working with students in an academic capacity.
- Oral and Written Communication Skills.
- Adaptability.
- Also, Microsoft Office – extensive use of Excel for spreadsheets.
