Duties

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the peer tutoring program activities
  • Maintain database and records of peer tutor’s information: training status, payroll verification, certifications, etc.
  • Additionally, provide administrative support for the operations of TCAEIL
  • Act as an important point of contact for internal and external constituents of TCAEIL
  • Oversee peer tutors
  • Participate in ongoing efforts to identify, recruit, interview, select and train peer tutors
  • Furthermore, provide administrative support for the preparation of reports, communications, and TCAEIL events
  • Also, perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Center’s director

Qualifications for Vacancy for Tutorial Coordinator at Tuskegee University

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Masters preferred
  • Additionally, three (3) to five (5) years of experience working in a learning center in higher education
  • Likewise, experience in coordinating, developing, planning, and monitoring all aspects of a tutorial program
  • Also, he/she must be able to function independently while operating within a team environment
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills
  • Additionally, demonstrated ability to manage confidential information
  • Knowledgeable of structure, content, and pedagogy for various college-level disciplines
  • Furthermore, the candidate should have working computer knowledge and experience with various office equipment, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
  • Also, excellent oral and written skills and the ability to communicate comfortably and effectively with students, staff, and faculty from diverse backgrounds in a collaborative, courteous, and supportive manner
  • Furthermore, demonstrated innovative and creative contributions in developing services and tutorial strategies that best meet the needs of students
  • Moreover, he/she must be able to prioritize, work independently and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements

  • The candidate must be able to sit for an extended period of time, stand, reach above and below, walk without assistance, and lift up to 25 pounds without assistance
