Requirements for Vacancy for Academic Advisor at Knovva Academy in the USA

• Current undergraduate, graduate student or secondary science teacher in a social sciences or STEM-related field.
• Additionally, the understanding of and experience with the applications Scratch and/or MIT App Inventor.
• Also, current undergraduate, graduate student or secondary teacher with a background in one or more of the following fields: Government, International Relations, Public Health, or Epidemiology.
• Likewise, demonstrated experience and interest in working with adolescents (11th grade).
• Critical thinker and problem solver who appropriately gives and receives constructive feedback.
• Also, evidence of creativity and adaptive thinking in new professional environments.
• Additionally, the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Similarly, a strong ability to multitask and prioritize.

Duties

• Give students real-time guidance and feedback throughout the 6 or 12-week program through individual office hours and group Q&A sessions.
• Additionally, use rubrics provided by Knovva Academy to evaluate student work during and at the end of the program.
• Also, evaluate the students’ final projects after the end of the program using rubrics provided by Knovva Academy, and provide them with meaningful feedback on their projects.
• Likewise, provide an overall student evaluation at the end of the program using rubrics provided by Knovva Academy, and provide them with meaningful feedback on how they had performed throughout the program.
• Furthermore, offer intellectual and emotional support to students during office hours.
