Job Title: Senior Internal Auditor

Duties

Qualifications

• Financial, operational, or compliance audit experience
• General knowledge of information technology
• Expertise with Microsoft Office products
• Professional certification such as CPA or CIA, or evidence of progress towards achieving certification
• Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting, computer information systems, and/or a related business area
• Strong verbal and impeccable written communication skills
• Knowledge of the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Analytical skills, creative problem-solving abilities, curiosity, and a sense of humor

Preferred

• Two years of experience in internal auditing and/or public accounting
• Additionally, experience auditing in a university setting
• Also, experience with PeopleSoft, data analytics, and/or automated work papers
• Likewise, risk assessment and/or consulting experience
• Additionally, an advanced degree in a related field
• Also, knowledge of general information technology controls
