Job Summary
Under the general guidance and direct supervision of the head of the office, the Programme Associate provides administrative and finance-related services ensuring high quality, accuracy, and consistency of work. Additionally, the Programme Associate promotes a client-oriented approach consistent with UNDP rules and regulations. Furthermore, the Programme Associate works in close collaboration with the team in the Programme Management Office to exchange information and ensure consistent service delivery.
Duties
- Support for the implementation of projects;
- Support to the Project Managers on the day to day basis;
- Also, business Process Quality Assurance;
- Support to the Project Managers in effective mainstreaming of gender equality
- Similarly, support to the Project Managers in administrative activities;
- Furthermore, the incumbent helps in the facilitation of knowledge sharing within the projects related to POPP application.
Support to implementation of Projects
- Assistance in preparation of contributions agreement, obtaining required clearances, and recording of contributions in Atlas.
- Also, the candidate provides support to the management of day to day activities, with due regard to prevailing standards and best practice i.e. Prince II methodology;
- Similarly, he/she supports the development of action plans, work plans, and relevant budgets;
- Also, he/she supports the coordination of the recruitment processes necessary for the implementation of the project/sector activities;
Business Process Quality Assurance
- Facilitate business processes followed by the Project in line with the UNDP regulations and rules, policies and the UNDP internal control framework;
- Likewise, the candidate monitors of risk issue log ensuring that they are regularly filled in;
- Also, acts as project focal point for project-related procurement and recruitment activities;
Qualifications
Education:
OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration, Economics, Political Sciences, and Social Sciences
Experience:
- Secondary education with 6 years of progressively responsible administrative or project experience at the national or international level.
OR
- A Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of progressively responsible administrative or project experience at the national or international level.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English is required.
- Also, in Greek is required.
- Likewise, in Turkish is an asset.
