Description

The Office of Strategy & Program Development (OSPD) at Tufts University works on innovative university-wide strategic initiatives that help Tufts take advantage of strategic opportunities or remove barriers to innovation, with an emphasis on opportunities that generate new, sustainable revenue streams.

Duties

• Conduct market research using primary and secondary sources to support the development of new academic programs and inform the transformation of existing programs
• Also, analyze and synthesize the collected research to provide key findings and actionable recommendations, including but not limited to:
  • External competitor/peer school benchmarking
  • IPEDS data analysis
  • Burning Glass labor data analysis
  • Keyword/search terms review
  • SIS course analysis
  • Internal benchmarking
  • Peer school/employer interviews
• Additionally, create formal reports and presentation-ready deliverables summarizing meaningful findings and recommendations for an executive audience.

• Likewise, manage a Salesforce database of academic program proposals and existing academic programs, centers, and affiliation agreements; work with internal technical support to update the database as processes and requirements evolve
• Furthermore, develop and generate reports on school program portfolios, program performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Similarly, superior creative problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills
• Also, excellent and demonstrable financial, business, and strategic analysis skills developed over at least three years of analytical or market research experience
• Furthermore, excellent and demonstrable business writing skills and ability to synthesize recommendations for executive audiences
• Likewise, excellent and demonstrable verbal communication skills in a variety of settings (e.g., one-on-one, leading large groups, presentations, ability to work with senior and junior stakeholders)
• Furthermore, project management experience
• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Also, team player mentality, flexibility, and ability to adapt as the office evolves
• Comfort operating independently and desire to look for opportunities to go above and beyond
• Additionally, advanced skills with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Experience & Skills:

• Experience with Salesforce
• Ability to develop Tableau reports and analysis
• Experience working in or with education, non-profit, government, or other public sector organizations
