Job Summary

You’ll be working with personnel in other departments within the College and the System to review and follow up on issues involving invoices, and ensure that expenditures fall within purchasing guidelines. Additionally, when AP system software upgrades are implemented, you’ll participate in the process, and you will interact with internal and external auditors as well as funding agencies. You’ll also be involved in year-end closings, and the 1099 process.

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business related field with at least 18 hours of Accounting required. Candidates can submit eight (8) years directly related work experience in lieu of degree.

Experience
Three (3) years experience in an accounting-related field

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of state reporting requirements
• Likewise, good communication and interpersonal skills
• Also, a thorough working knowledge of the application of general accounting principles
• Knowledge of external and internal financial auditing procedures
• Furthermore, knowledge of PC, MS Windows, Word, Excel, and Access
• Additionally, working knowledge of PeopleSoft
